My ten day residency came to an end yesterday and as I sit here and try to realize all that happened I am a bit in awe. They say a picture speaks a thousand words so here a few pictures to help describe the wonderful and creative time I had out in Kelwood, Manitoba.
One of the highlights of the Harvest Sun had to be the moody Manitoba workshop on Sunday morning., which was the subject of this year's It's always fantastic, but this year was stellar. Rick Neufeld and Alana Levandoski led a stage filled with some of Manitoba's top musicians and songwriters. John Cookshaw and his team made sure the sound was a thing of perfection and Egospank backed the entire group of them. so good.
And if you thought there wasn't enough going on , the agricultural fair was a delight with cute baby goats, llamas, horses, cows and even a vegetable competition where Simon Kuhl took first prize with the strangest looking squash.
This year's harvest sun music festival featured one of my labyrinths! We've been working hard to get one made for a while so it was a real delight to finally get this one cut for the kid's area. Huge hit!

All in all, I think the thing that really took me by surprise was the kindness and friendliness of all the people. My kids and I made so many friends and met so many good people. Everyone's kids were a delight and fast friends were made. I met so many interesting people, I had no idea a town so small could be filled with so much wonderful.
